A Short Message from the Executive Director! [DATED 29/6/23]

First of all, I’d like to wish our readers from across the globe good morning or good evening to you, wherever you’re reading this. Since 2019, we have extensively edited and written groundbreaking pieces in various writing styles. Despite our reputation as a reasonably young forum, we are delighted to know that those who have collaborated with us have always found the experience fulfilling. On this day, I am incredibly proud to announce that the Delian Poetry Forum will be expanding its horizons and focusing on opinionated editorials as well as short stories alongside the commonly showcased poetry and prose. This decision comes after our brief hiatus of a few months wherein we reworked managerial structure and plotted out what was best for Delian going ahead.

Furthermore, we will be increasing our submissions from writers across the globe by promoting both anonymous submissions as well as one-off submissions as opposed to being a full-time writer for Delian. If one would be interested in joining the writing team, they can use the form for the same on our website. Writing for Delian helps expose your work to a vast audience spanning over seventy-six countries; if you desire such exposure for your work, I recommend you submit your pieces via email or the form on the website, following which our team will get back to you with further instructions.

It has been a pleasure managing Delian all these years, and I look forward to the future of the forum.

A Short Message from our Executive Directors! [DATED 14/10/19]

Rita Dove once said,” Poetry is a language at its most distilled and most powerful.” Delian Poetry is a forum that centers on inclusivity and encouraging creativity. Delian named after the Greek God of poetry, Delian, popularly known as Apollo. The name comes from the island where the sun God was born Delos. At Delian, we recognize the fact that writing is more than just a string of words but heals and spreads awareness.

We believe that the joy and sheer awareness one can receive from the likes of writing, is unfathomable. Every day we strive to help poets and amateurs alike, bond over the transcendent complexion that writing brings forth to this universe.

The paper does more justice to what is inside and that has proven itself time and time again. That is why we resort to writing articles, essays, journals the list goes on. Through our website, we aim to share anything from articles to haikus. With a team of diverse writers and poets, we aim to share and heal. Owing to the fact that a large number of our readers and writers are teens we hope to make the forum a place where they can share and find comfort through poems revolving around body issues and feeling good enough. We also hoped to make the blog center around sharing what our writers and poets were passionate about. In a world plagued with issues big and small from Climate Change to the politics involved in the game of cricket- Delian also provides a platform for people to share debate and deliberate.

Just a month old we hope to make the forum a place for both old and young to share and grow because poetry is influential, it molds minds and heals and helps us grow as both Individuals and as a Society. In the future we wish to facilitate a center for dissertations as well as deliberation. In order to participate in our forum, one must present themselves to be of extreme talent in the area in which they aspire to work with us in whether its- creative writing, marketing, design or moderation, we carefully select individuals to work with us after a rigorous evaluation of their work following which, we conduct an interview where we test one’s ability to analyze and perform well with teams, as our organization is one which prides ourselves upon interaction, and appreciation of peer evaluation.

To summarize, we are an organization aimed at achieving proper discourse at an online and global level with regard to the arts and facilitate all writings which match our criteria, i.e. work that is precise and influential, we are staunch patrons of expression and let those who write for us, enjoy this privilege by not restricting topics, therefore not confining them to a cul de sac. By this we provide our readers with the greatest quality of work, never failing to come off as the apple of their eye.
